Forging Your Destiny - Crafting System Part 2

Welcome back to part 2 of forging your destiny!

In our previous post about the crafting system, we introduced the general crafting framework and asked an important question; What does a hero truly need?  Of course, a specific answer did not matter as it was all about what you would craft for yourself and your own journey ahead.

But what good is crafting when the menu leaves you feeling queasy and in need of a herbal remedy? Which unfortunately for you, would need to be crafted...

As such, this weeks devlog focuses on the next iteration which brings it more closely to the redesigns done for our other menus.

Original Placeholder Crafting Menu UI

Inspired by various sources, the redesigned crafting menu offers a cleaner and more appealing experience. Although this is primarily a visual update to the previous prototype, some minor improvements and additions have been made. The recipe selection now includes relevant icons, the crafted item has its description displayed, and the craft button visually indicates whether you have the required resources.

New Crafting Menu UI

However, this only marks the beginning of our efforts. We have exciting plans to refine this menu further, including implementing proper craft-type filters, additional visual cues for missing requirements, and expanding upon the displayed information. So stay tuned for our next crafting system devlog, where we'll continue to sharpen the crafting menus quality, and keep on forging your destinies!
