Ceremonies

The religious faction guides most ceremonies due to the strong connection to the strong connection to religious beliefs. All cultural events are timed following the Lunar cycle. 

Full Moon Ceremony

The most common event is the celebration of the full moon, during which the Lunaegans hold ceremonies to absorb the most lunar energy they can. The ceremony takes the form of a market with festivities and games, with different game stands and food stands in the main square of the village. 

Lunar Eclipse Ceremony

During lunar eclipses, the Lunaegans hold a festival of light using the natural flora to keep the moon's light with them when it's darkened from the sky. Similar to the Full Moon, the ceremony takes the form of a market with festivities and games, as well as a release of floating lanterns using lunar magic. .

 Solar Eclipse Ceremony

Every solar eclipse is the only day that Lunaegans stay awake during the daytime to hold a big festival celebrating Lunnadian's attempts to shield them from Sotechli's fires further. The festival includes a ceremony in which they send up lanterns to the sky using a combination of lunar-powered plants to give Lunnadian more strength as she passes in front of Sotechli. 

Marriage

Proposals and weddings are usually done during full moons to have the strongest blessings upon the union. Having a wedding or proposing on another day, specifically a lunar eclipse is seen as a bad omen for the marriage. The Lunaegans keep a close eye on the sky during the planning of the marriage to ensure that Lunnadian agrees to the wedding. The new moon before the wedding the pair are separated to prepare them for the wedding. They go through a cleansing ritual that ensures they can take care of each other and they can start their lives together with a clean slate. 

Funerals

Funerals are held in two parts, the first part being held during a new moon and the second part during the first full moon after. This is so that the soul of the Lunaegan has the best chance to properly enter the new phase of their lives. The burial is the first part of the funeral, in which the body is buried in the nearby forest under the roots of a tree. The body is buried with many different herbs and some possessions and flowers are planted around the tree. During this part of the funeral, people mourn the life that was lost. During the second part of the funeral proceedings, they celebrate by the same tree and celebrate the life that was lived and the accomplishments they achieved. They release floating lanterns with their favorite memories to the moon to remind the soul, and Lunnadian, of who the soul was when they were alive.
