Tenril's History - Xipilian's taming of Beasts

In the deserts that the Xipilians call home, it is rare to find any beasts due to the harshness of the environment. Only the beasts that adapt to the scorching heat and limited resources that grow in the deserts can survive. The Xipilians, upon encountering the first beasts, found that they could survive by eating their meat. This led to the beasts they tracked being hunted, however, over time it became harder to find animals to track. The Lukairon family decided that it might be better to start herding the beasts and taming them, making it so that the Xipilians had a stable source of meat without driving the animals further away from their central city. Through this, they were able to discover that certain animals absorbed solar energy in a similar way that they do, and eating the meat of these animals can strengthen them. This earned their lineage a close connection to the royal family of the time, due to the way that the herding of animals became the start of the farming faction of their society.

The family started asking the scouts to do their best to attempt to take back beasts from their travels so that they could tame them as well. Through this collecting of many different animals, the farming faction started a process of cross-breeding animals so that they could get the most out of the meat that was gathered from them. There was an aversion to this practice at first, but when it was proven that the newly bred animals were stronger and more likely to survive, it earned the new faction even more praise.  As an attempt to appease those still opposed to the interbreeding of animals, a leader of the Farming section decided that for each beast that is found, there has to be a pure line that is kept at all times. Keeping the beasts as they were created by Sotechli and Tenril is an important religious tradition, while the cross-breeding of the animals is important for providing enough food.

The scouts didn't only return with any beasts they found, but also with any vegetation they found to be edible. The farmers started to cultivate the land they could and started to produce food for the Xipilians. The byproducts of this farming, are mulched into fertilizer, as well as food for the beasts. This aspect of farming underwent a similar cross-pollination process to maximize the harvest, as well as increase the variety of food. Alongside this, a big garden was made in the center of the royal castle that creates an optimized climate for the flora, and each new plant that is discovered is planted and grown there.
